Meena Satishkumar is a technologist and a powerful advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the tech industry. She is the founder of Tech Beyond Gender, an initiative with a clear mission: to bridge the gender gap in technology by providing data-driven insights and amplifying the voices of women and gender-diverse professionals.
Meena holds a strong academic foundation from Massey University and Victoria University. Her dedication to nurturing talent is evident through her collaborations with institutions such as Victoria University of Wellington and Whitireia Community Polytechnic, where she has mentored aspiring researchers and actively shaped future talent.
Her impactful career spans diverse environments, including government agencies, financial institutions, and technology enterprises. In these roles, Meena has consistently leveraged her deep expertise in areas such as cloud infrastructure, data analytics, and solution architecture to drive significant business transformation.
Recognising the persistent barriers women and gender-diverse professionals face in tech, Meena launched Tech Beyond Gender to conduct vital sector-wide research, share industry insights, and provide organisations with actionable recommendations for fostering inclusive workplaces. Through its innovative podcast platform, her initiative highlights real experiences and strategies, making a tangible difference in the industry.
