Biography
Joy is a Senior Associate in Duncan Cotterill’s Commercial team. Joy assists businesses to navigate the legal issues associated with Tech and AI implementation, drawing on her deep expertise in technology, data, privacy, intellectual property and commercial law. She also provides general commercial advice, with a focus on commercial contracting and regulatory issues. Joy assists businesses of all sizes, from startups and SMEs to large corporates. With prior experience in dispute resolution, Joy is well-equipped to help clients manage risk and reduce legal exposure.
Prior to law, Joy worked in Sydney with Bain & Company, a leading management consultancy, where she advised on strategic business issues across a range of industries, including financial services, insurance, telecommunications, utilities, logistics, health, professional services, and retail. Joy uses her consulting background to bring a pragmatic and commercially focused approach to client service.
