Meet Belinda Thomas –
AI‑Adaptive Leadership Coach
At The AI Assembly® we believe that responsible AI adoption requires more than cutting‑edge tools; it demands human‑centred leadership, clear ethics and courageous decision‑making. That’s why we’re proud to feature Belinda Thomas, a strategic leadership coach based in New Zealand whose work aligns closely with our mission. Belinda is a founding member of HerAIStory and Head of Leading while Learning Workshops first events launching in 2026 throughout NZ.
Belinda is known as the Veuve Clicquot of leadership development with a side of salt‑and‑vinegar chips – meaning she brings both sophistication and a down‑to‑earth honesty to her work. She helps senior leaders and executives deliver big strategies, lead thriving teams and build leadership they’re proud of. Her approach blends commercial smarts, emotional intelligence and a healthy dose of cheek to ask the hard questions, see what’s not being said and provide the tools and support leaders need to succeed.
Raised on a farm and just as comfortable in a shearing shed as in a boardroom, Belinda knows the value of grit and authenticity. She’s competed at an international level in fly fishing and learned first‑hand the power of coaching to unlock performance. Today, she’s on a quiet crusade to bring joy and satisfaction back to leadership, pushing back against burnout culture and encouraging leaders to love what they do.
Belinda founded Belinda Thomas Inc., where she delivers one‑on‑one coaching, AI‑adaptive leadership workshops and masterclasses. Her GIN and TOPIC newsletter captures “insights and reflections for smart leaders who want to tackle the messy stuff, energise their teams and deliver results that matter.” We’ve drawn on several of her AI‑focused newsletters to create articles for our own readers.
A new collaboration – Leading while learning
The AI Assembly is launching the HerAIStory™ “Leading While Learning” workshops – hands‑on, half‑day sessions designed to empower women who lead businesses or teams in the age of AI. Our founder Karrina will lead the series, and we’ve invited Belinda Thomas to join as co‑facilitator. Together they’ll bring their combined expertise and vision to every session, with Belinda drawing on her AI‑adaptive leadership framework. The programme will also feature two other incredible women, each sharing their lived experiences of enabling others to lead confidently through AI‑driven challenges. Collectively, we’re growing HerAIStory into an even richer, more diverse learning experience.
