About Dr. Victor Anton

Dr Victor Anton is the founder and driving force behind Wildlife.ai, where he champions the ‘AI for Good’ movement in Aotearoa New Zealand. With a PhD from Victoria University of Wellington, Victor has extensive experience in conservation biology, wildlife monitoring, and ecological modelling. He discovered the strengths and limitations of machine learning while working with camera traps during his doctoral research, and has since collaborated with research institutions, governments, and communities globally to translate data into better conservation management.
